“Momma, where are my toys?” – was my toddler’s defensive retort when she accidentally broke the wing of a flimsy toy duckling a while back. I wasn’t even fond of that duck in the first place – so in a bid to get her something brighter, shinier, and unbreakable, I strode from shop to shop not finding what I was looking for, and ending up getting some cotton candy instead.
